Kendall Herzog ‘25
Commodore & Finance Chair
Kendall is a Senior majoring in Construction Engineering and minoring in Operations and Supply Chain Management. She is the current Finance Chair, and is responsible for seeking out and applying for sources of funding, creating a budget for the team at the beginning of each semester, collecting team dues and helping the captain maintain the membership roster, paying fees, bills, and invoices on behalf of MUST. This will be her second semester on the team with no prior sailing experience. She has grown up on the shores of Lake Michigan and is ecstatic to have the opportunity to spend more time on the lake in college. Her favorite aspect of MUST is the competitive nature and the friendships it builds.
Brittany Shabino ‘25
Vice-Commodore & Regatta Chair
Brittany is a Senior majoring in biomedical sciences and minoring in chemistry and psychology. She serves as the Vice-Commodore and Regatta Chair and is responsible for organizing regattas hosted by MUST (Pere Marquette and Alumni Regattas), communicating with the MCSA and other schools on behalf of MUST regarding regattas, attendance, and housing, and is responsible for selecting members to attend away regattas. This is her 4th season with Marquette Sailing and has been sailing since she was six starting with optis. She grew up sailing on the Inland Lake Yachting Association and has won top girl skipper at a championship regatta. Her favorite part of MUST is being able to compete at regattas and making new lifelong friends.
Ava Bradd ‘26
Equipment Chair
Ava is a Junior majoring in Biomedical sciences. She is the current equipment chair of MUST. As equipment chair, Ava ensures that all MUST equipment is functional, and she is responsible for fixing any of the team's broken equipment. Ava ensures that the boats are properly winterized and dewinterized and is currently working with our team captain to purchase a new coaching powerboat for practices. Ava has been on the team for one season and has some prior experience sailing Optis on Lake Michigan. Her favorite part of MUST is meeting all of the amazing sailors and getting the opportinity to travel for regattas!
Jacob Millman ‘26
Alumni & Fundraising Chair
Jacob is a Junior Real Estate and International Business major. He started sailing for the first time in college and has really enjoyed his time with MUST so far. He loves to try new food, read mystery books and hang out with friends. Jacob is looking forward to staying connected with our Alumni Network and is excited about the fundraising opportunities he has planned for this year! His favorite part of MUST is all of the amazing people on the team and attending Regattas.
Eva Paschke ‘25
Captain
Eva is a Senior majoring in English with a minor in history. She is the current team captain, responsible for organizing and executing regular practices available to all members, holding skill lectures (“chalk-talks”) to educate members of all skill levels on sailing technique, and organizing team competitors at regattas. This is her sixth season on the sailing team, and she has been sailing for 14 years, competing in national regattas through high school and now college in both single and double handed events. She also competes in keelboat events, regularly sailing summer series and both Mackinaw offshore races. Her favorite part of MUST is the amazing community it provides for its members, and the continued opportunity to sail dinghies competitively.
Gwen Busch ‘25
Publicity Chair
Gwen is a Seniorr on the pre med track studying Biomedical Sciences. She serves as the Publicity Chair, and is responsible for writing and distributing the MUST newsletter (the Windward Marq), updating the website and various social media, publicizing and involving #MUST on campus, informing the team of meeting dates, regattas, socials, and other events, as well as elections and other notable announcements. Gwen loves being outdoors and is an avid hiker and camper. This is Gwen’s 3rd season on the team and her favorite part about MUST is meeting people who love having a good time on the water.
Ally Younkin ‘26
Merchandise Chair
Ally is a Junior on the pre-law track studying Chemistry. As Merchandise Chair, she is responsible for organizing, distributing, and marketing the sailing apparel. This will be her 4th season on the sailing team. Ally is from Boulder, CO and learned how to sail in New Hartford, CT. She is so happy to have the opportunity to sail on Lake Michigan now. Her favorite part of MUST is traveling to regattas and all the friends she’s made.
